Sarah “Vulture” Vasquez is a visual artist whose representational paintings and drawings explore death, grief, and the lingering effects of trauma. Working primarily in acrylic, watercolor or colored pencil, she reflects on how personal loss echoes within broader histories of collective suffering, particularly the psychological aftermath of traumatic events.

Born and raised in Southern California, Sarah received her B.A. in studio art from California State University, Fullerton. She is currently earning her MFA in studio art at California State University, San Bernardino.
